PRACE User Guide

If you don't have local WCSS account or grid certificate please contact your home site support. If you don't have home site contact us directly.

You may choose the way you log in to the system from the possibilities described below.

From PRACE network

If you log in through one of the PRACE Door Nodes or other PRACE partner system (connected to PRACE network) you may use the Bem internal address prace-bem-int.wcss.pl. This gives you a connection via 10 GB link.

SSH

Prerequisites

• local WCSS account

Commands to log in

 ssh username@prace-bem-int.wcss.pl

GSI-SSH

Prerequisites

• local WCSS account
• grid certificate on PRACE Door Node
• DN of the certificate registered on the machine (it is done by a site administrator)

Commands to log in

 grid-proxy-init
 gsissh username@prace-bem-int.wcss.pl -p2222

From public network

If you log in through public internet you must use the Bem public address prace-bem.wcss.pl.

SSH

Prerequisites

• local WCSS account

Commands to log in

 ssh username@prace-bem.wcss.pl

GSI-SSH

Prerequisites

• local WCSS account
• grid certificate on the machine
• DN of the certificate registered on the machine (it is done by a site administrator)
• globus-toolkit or at least gsissh client on the machine

Commands to log in

 grid-proxy-init
 gsissh username@prace-bem.wcss.pl -p2222
